Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of terms
By creating an account or using Tallinn Gear Rental ("TGR," "we," "the platform"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the platform. We may update these terms from time to time — continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
2. User accounts
You must be at least 18 years old and verify your identity through Estonian eID to use TGR. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. One person may hold only one account.
3. Listings
Owners are responsible for accurately describing their items, including condition, included accessories, and any restrictions. Listings must represent items you legally own or have the right to rent out. TGR reserves the right to remove listings that violate these terms or community standards.
4. Bookings
A booking is confirmed when the owner accepts the request and payment is processed. Both parties are expected to honour confirmed bookings. The rental period begins and ends at the times agreed during booking.
5. Payments
All payments are processed through our secure payment partner. Rental fees are charged at the time of booking confirmation. Owners receive payouts according to their chosen schedule (weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly) after the rental is completed.
6. Deposits
Deposits are held by TGR for the duration of the rental. If the item is returned undamaged, the deposit is released within 2 business days. In case of damage, the owner may file a claim within 24 hours of return. TGR mediates deposit disputes impartially.
7. Cancellations
Renters may cancel free of charge more than 24 hours before the pickup time. Cancellations within 24 hours may incur a fee of up to 20% of the rental cost. Owners who cancel confirmed bookings may face account restrictions.
8. Liability
TGR acts as a marketplace connecting owners and renters. We are not a party to rental agreements and do not own the items listed. Our liability is limited to the platform services we provide. Users are responsible for their interactions and the condition of items.
9. Intellectual property
Content you upload (photos, descriptions) remains yours, but you grant TGR a licence to display it on the platform. The TGR brand, logo, and platform design are our property and may not be used without permission.
10. Termination
You may delete your account at any time from your account settings. TGR may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, engage in fraud, or harm the community. Ongoing rental obligations survive account termination.
